Pac-Man Homebrew for the Fairchild Channel F
21 10 2013So I was looking through some suggestions from Youtube when I found this: video of a homebrew version of Pac-Man for the early cartridge based game console, Channel F, by Fairchild. The Channel F came to market about a year or so before Atari came out with their game changing 2600 (aka VCS).
Whilr this video may not look like much now, if you compare it to what games were available for the Channel F back in the day, then you’ll realize just how amazing this is!
Check it out below:

Calgary Pincade Show September 28, 2013
30 09 2013I had an awesome time this weekend at the Calgary Pincade Show. Local pinball and arcade machine owners brought out their machines to all to play. Admission was $15 at the door or $20 for the weekend. Quite a few games were up for sale and they had two pinball machines for raffle. It was an awesome time and I can hardly wait for next year.
Check out The few pictures and video I caught while there:

Bally Road Runner Electro Mechanical Racer
4 09 2013Well, you don’t see one of these babies very day… In fact, the one and only time I saw one of these was in a train station in Ottawa, Ontario thirty-seven years ago. And then again on August 27, 2013 when we visited the awesome Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. This is a neat take on racing and Interestingly, the car that you control is projected on a piece of glass in a kind of ghostly manner, and when you crash, which I did continuously, that ghost car is seen tumbling. Unfortunately that did not show up in this video.
