My Q*Bert Tabletop Game!

31 03 2013

Hey folks, hope all is well.

About 6 months ago I picked up a Parker Brothers Q*Bert Tabletop game. I have a number of these mini arcade machines, most being released by Coleco. This one is a Parker Brothers game and is surprisingly good when you take into account the limitations of these machines.

Check out the short demo video I made, below!

Comparisons of Many Versions of Donkey Kong

26 08 2012

Alright… I know way too long between posts. Can’t fix it as I don’t have a time machine, but I can say sorry. Sorry.

Anyway, here’s a 14+ minute video comparing a crap load of Donkey Kong (classic) versions on different, old systems.

Enjoy!

And While I Am At It…

21 10 2008

Well, I thought that since I was talking up my mini cab collection, I thought I would put ’em all out together, along with some of my Nintendo Game and Watches (well, the ones that I could find at the time) and take a picture of them. I have a number of other games that fit into the mini cab format, but I wanted a picture of the classics. The only reason I threw the Game And Watches in is because I had to move each one to get at the mini cabs themselves.

Here is that picture:

Here is an interesting article on the complete history of Nintendo.

Spanning 119 years, it is quite comprehensive. I haven’t researched this myself so I cannot comment on the accuracy, but it is an interesting read none the less.

A Tour Through My Madness (My Basement)

5 05 2008

Omnibot I forgot that I Had these pictures up on Picasa’s web site. It’s basically a tour through my basement from about a year and a half ago from the time of this posting.

You’ll see a lot of my systems that I have out, though there are a lot more in boxes under my stairs that I have to pull out some day. Also, the TV shown was sold a while ago to make way for a plasma, and a PS3 has been added to the mix, along with various other toys and old systems.

Good Morning People, and another Game & Watch

20 02 2008

No new posts over the last few days, though I did edit a lot and designed a new retro-ish banner and register a new URL, yesterdazearcade.com .

I thought I’d take the time to say “Good Morning” and show off another little toy: my Donkey Kong 3 Game & Watch.

This one is particularly cool, as it has two controllers that are attached by thin cables. Excellent design!

Here are a few pictures.
